MJIC, Inc. (“MJIC” or the “Company”), California’s leading provider of fully-licensed cannabis wholesale distribution, retail, compliance and supply chain solutions, announced today that the Company has been granted municipal licenses by the City of Coachella and temporary state licenses by the State of California Bureau of Cannabis Control in connection with its distribution facility located in Coachella, California. These licenses allow MJIC to distribute cannabis products from its Coachella facility throughout the entire state of California on a fully-compliant basis.
“MJIC is building a fully-compliant cannabis infrastructure across California, a ‘green gateway’ that provides cultivators, manufacturers and retailers with the channels they need to efficiently and legally operate in the state,” said Sturges Karban, CEO of MJIC. “These licenses give MJIC the ability to distribute from the desert to the Pacific, up the coast, and everywhere in between, and are a significant development in our expansion throughout California.”
Following its receipt of the licenses, MJIC has retrofitted the Coachella facility into a state-of-the-art distribution center that will allow the Company to provide a comprehensive suite of wholesale distribution solutions to compliant cannabis operators throughout California.
In addition to its fully-licensed Coachella facility, MJIC continues to expand its infrastructure to address the growing demand for compliant distribution of cannabis products in California following the expiration on July 1, 2018 of the transition period provided by the State of California for cannabis operators to achieve full compliance with all applicable regulations. MJIC expects to obtain municipal and state licenses in connection with its distribution facilities in Oakland and Long Beach during the third and fourth quarters of 2018, respectively.
